Founder of ChessEdu.org. Proprietor of ChessCafe.com. Author of ChessEdu.org White Belt Curriculum, Step by Step: Mate, and Chess Puzzles for Students. He has taught chess to middle and elementary school students since 1997. He was the longest serving editor for Chess Horizons, the magazine of the Massachusetts Chess Association, and an editor at ChessCafe.com. He has worked for various chess publishers, and worked or consulted on projects with Lev Alburt, Mark Dvoretsky, Dan Heisman, Karsten Müller, Bruce Pandolfini, Susan Polgar, and others. He has won numerous prizes from the Chess Journalist of America, had chess games published in Chess Informant and New In Chess magazine, and achieved the Correspondence Candidate Master title in 1988.
