I grew up in Canada where I served as a firefighter for twenty-two years. I ended my career with six years as Fire Chief. I then got my law degree and practiced sports law (in my home office) for ten years, while I played with my young kids as much as possible. Additionally, I have a master’s degree in law, an MBA, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies. I currently live in Manhattan with my wife and two children. I have also lived in Ireland and Germany, and I have visited over seventy countries. As I walked around NYC during the worst of COVID, I began to think seriously about how to combine my particular expertise with my love of writing and reading. I set out to write a book that I would love to read. WHERE THERE’S SMOKE is my first fiction book.
