Danilo Beyruth

Danilo Beyruth is a Brazilian comic book author who was born in 1973.

In Brazil, he has written and illustrated a dozen graphic novels, including Band of Two, a western set in early 1900s Brazil; Necronauta, a mix of horror and superhero genres; Saint George, a retelling of the myth of the warrior saint; Love Kills, a contemporary vampire story; Samurai Shirô, a yakuza tale set in the Brazilian Japanese colony, which was adapted to film and starred Jonathan Rhys Meyer; and Corso, a space adventure about a dog pilot in the middle of a war against the Empire of Cats.

For Mauricio de Sousa, Brazil's Walt Disney, created the adult version of the classic character Astronaut, now on its sixth and final chapter, and it will be adapted to animation by HBO. His books have been published in Argentina, Italy, Spain, Poland, France, Portugal, Germany, and Belgium.

In the US, he has worked as a penciler/inker on several anthology books such as Fubar and Jesus Hates Zombies, and for Marvel titles such as Ghost Rider, Gwenpool, Deadpool vs. Gambit, Deadpool & Cable, Howard the Duck, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Carnage.

He has done the art for the graphic novel The Trap, written by Kyle Higgins and Lance Briggs, and the first chapter of the Image Comics series Deep Cuts by Kyle Higgins and Joe Clark, a tale about jazz throughout history.

Currently, He's the artist on the series Ancient Enemies, written by Dan Didio of DC fame and being published by Frank Miller Presents, the publishing line of the comic book legend Frank Miller.
