R. S. Royall

R.S. Royall is an author-illustrator of light poetry and novels. Though not classically trained in writing or drawing, he does possess a deep passion for the craft, and for the arts in general—adhering to the Einsteinian school of thought that imagination is more important than knowledge. After many years of studying and working in the field of sustainability, focusing on addressing socio-ecological problems, he decided it was time to focus instead on solutions, specifically on "being the change"—that is, using imagination and creativity as opposed to technology for example, as the preferred tools to inspire positive change. He first envisioned being a professional writer after many long hours of making up bedtime stories for his three daughters. Raijal is originally from Oakland and currently lives in northern California.
