Lawrence Danello

Lawrence R. Danello is a retired Professional Electrical Engineer who grew up in western Pennsylvania in the 1940s-50s. He graduated from Penn Technical Institute in 1956. He got his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1961, with minors in physics and mathematics. He received considerable course credits toward his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He received his Master’s degree in Commercial Science at Rollins College in 1969. His professional career took him from California, where he worked with Douglas Aircraft, then to Dynotronics in Florida, where he continued working in the aerospace industry. In 1970, he took a job with the State of Florida and moved into Telecommunications. He earned his Florida Professional Engineering status in 1972. After making many connections across the United States, Danello returned to the private sector as co-owner of Omnicom, Inc.—a communication consulting engineering company. The owners created this company and took it to great heights with national and international clients. In 1996, the job prompted him to earn his Tennessee Professional Engineering License. During his career, Danello was published in trade journals and magazines. He also co-authored a standard for IEEE, the universally accepted organization defining electrical and electronics engineering standards.

After 41 years in the engineering profession, Danello sold his company for substantial profit and retired to his lakefront home in Tallahassee, Florida. In his retirement, he spends his time fishing, trading commodities, and writing books about the lessons he learned over these many years.
