Andre Ross

Andre Ross, a native of Gary, Indiana, graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Andre earned his Masters of Education with a concentration in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.

Andre has served schools and communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for many years. He earned Teacher of the Year following his first full academic year as a full-time teacher, and was recognized for his unique focus on relationship-building and implementation of culturally responsive lesson planning techniques. Andre’s techniques led to tremendous academic achievement and growth where his students grew by double-digit gains and outperformed their peers each year that he served.

Andre transitioned from his role as a full-time teacher to work in the education non-profit space. During his stint in that industry, he worked directly with teachers as an external instructional and leadership development coach for novice teachers. It increased his impact into the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and provided a different perspective on the solutions necessary to increase academic and culture outcomes in schools. He currently works as an Assistant Principal of Instruction for a public charter school network in Dallas.

Andre has continued his pursuit of educational equity as Co-Founder and Partner of Education PowerED. Andre is using his skills to help develop more culturally responsive teachers, coaches, and leaders across the globe to increase outcomes for our students and our communities, wherever they may be.
