Zornitsa Dimitrova

Zornitsa Dimitrova writes on the philosophy of technology, the ontological status of automata, the aesthetics of the Anthropocene, the environmental humanities, and their various points of confluence. She studied Indology and Philosophy at Sofia University, Literary Theory at the University of Freiburg, and obtained a Ph.D. in Literary Studies from the University of Münster. Her first scholarly book, Literary Worlds and Deleuze: Expression as Mimesis and Event, was published in 2017 with Rowman&Littlefield. Her second monograph, Theatre and the Virtual: Genesis, Touch, Gesture, appeared in 2022 with Routledge. Zornitsa has authored various scholarly publications in the fields of postcontinental philosophy and theatre studies. Selected poems have been nominated in competitions for debut authors.

Zornitsa's most recent project is an autobiographical poetry triptych. The first two books, These So Long Days and The Museum of Confirmations, are already in print.
