Derrick Collins

First time author Derrick Collins born in 1966, in Oakland, CA during the beginning of the Black Panther Party movement. Raised and educated in the Black Pedagogy era he had a deep desire to reach beyond the confinement the Hood.

Derrick had a chance to change his destiny by moving to Arizona which he now calls home. A loving father of 3 he enjoys his family time and cooking Sunday Dinners. Derrick has worked in the Behavioral Health Field 15+ years and is Currently Certified as a Behavioral Health Technician and Certified in Peer Support by the State of Arizona. Derrick is actively pursuing training to become a life coach.
