John Reinhardt

John is a veteran book designer, memoirist, and lifelong storyteller who has spent nearly fifty years helping other people bring their words to life. Over the course of his career, he has designed close to 3,000 books — biographies, histories, children’s titles, medical references, self‑help guides, and subjects so obscure he sometimes had to learn them on the fly. Along the way, he wrote several books of his own, including the Crazy! series and his latest memoir, Motion, Mistakes, and Making Things Work.

His life has taken him from the chaos of the ’70s to the discipline of the United States Army, from the quiet focus of a design studio to the unpredictable joy of family, friendship, and the long, winding road of creative work. He writes with humor, honesty, and a deep appreciation for the small moments that end up shaping a life.

John lives in Florida with his wife, Lynn, where he continues to design, write, mentor, and play golf at Lake Jovita — usually with enthusiasm, occasionally with skill, and always with a story waiting to be told.
