Amy Robillard

Amy is a Canada-based writer with a degree in English Literature from Queen's University. Born in the Ottawa Valley, her family moved around the country instilling in her a fascination with the concept of 'home' -- a reoccurring theme in her work. A lover of all things old and dilapidated, her book's settings nudge the reader into another time, another place, another world.

"There is nothing I love more than an abandoned house with a sordid tale emanating from its crooked walls. Just think how lovely it would be to sit down with a cup of tea and have a chat."

Praised for her character's quiet strength and believability, they stay with the reader long after the back cover is closed.

Amy lives with her husband and divides her time between Ottawa ON, Nelson BC, and Costa Rica, but feels a pang of longing when she visits her parents’ house on the Ottawa River.
