Jesse Tafel was born in Philadelphia, PA and earned his BA in Writing Arts at Rowan University. Author of the pirate-fantasy book series, Songs of Chorus. Jesse was raised in a home that thrived off stories, from books to movies or even oral fantastical adventures his father improvised before bed. Jesse grew a fascination with storytelling and why people were so drawn to them, especially in their formative years. From an early age to present day, he has never been able to sleep for more than four-five hours but found that creating his own stories lying there trying to sleep helped calm his mind. Jesse's love for the ocean and nautical tales had him begin stories of an adventurer called Marinus and then let the dreams take over the rest of the story. Upon waking, Jesse would jot down as much as he could remember from his self bedtime stories and decided to mold and craft them becoming a writer to share his stories with the world drawing inspiration from the works of JRR Tolkien, Hayao Miyazaki, JK Rowling, Eiji Aonuma, & Shigeru Miyamoto.
