Giustiniano La Vecchia

People often ask me what I do for a living. I write novels and essays, I train people and teams in companies, and I study the human need to belong, which I have shaped into a theory: the Human Belonging Theory. But the truth is that I do only one thing: I care about people. About what makes them suffer and what makes them reborn, what divides them and what finally makes them feel at home.

My goal is that, through what I do, as many people as possible may live better. It is not a profession: it is the way I have chosen to be in the world.

I was shaped by teachers who still walk beside me today: Leo Buscaglia, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Abraham Maslow, Paramahansa Yogananda, Lao Tzu, and the poets Rumi and Hafiz. From them I learned that love is a daily action, that the most important journey is the one inward, and that belonging is a deep need of every human being. All of my work was born from there.

I believe that in the end none of us will be remembered for our salary, our possessions or our achievements, but for the value we have left in others. That is why every book, every encounter and every project begins with the same question: how can I use my talents to serve humanity and make it a little better?

In my essays I look for answers for organizations and those who lead them. In my novels I look for questions for those who read, so that each of us can become a horizon hunter again. I do not write to teach, but to accompany.

I founded Hubrains and brought these ideas to the TEDx stage. But my truest work happens when someone, after reading a page or taking part in a meeting, feels a little more like themselves.
