Jeanette Westfall

Dr. Jeanette Westfall has been working in public education since 1985 and worked for Liberty Public Schools (MO) from 2013-2023, most recently as the assistant superintendent for instructional design. Jeanette’s degrees include a Doctorate in Education from the University of Missouri, a Master of Arts degree in Education from Baker University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University.

Jeanette started teaching at the elementary level in the Del Valle School District (TX) before moving across the United States for more than a decade as an Air Force spouse. Jeanette and her family settled in St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1999, where she taught high school language arts as well as gifted and talented English, worked as one of the first instructional coaches for the district, and finally served as a high school principal in the St. Joseph School District (MO) before she joined Liberty Public School District in 2013. Jeanette has been an active learner during her public education career, participating in the Learning Forward Academy, as a Department of Education #GoOpen advocate, and serving on numerous AdvancEd/Cognia School Accreditation Teams.

Jeanette has been married to Kurt Westfall since 1984 and have two sons (Matt/Amber and Mike/Keely), and they spend their time enjoying their three grandchildren (Aria, Holden & Bode) as much as they possibly can.
