From a young age, stories have captured my imagination. Whether it was hearing tales from my grandparents and parents about their lives in "the olden days," watching black and white TV shows about curly-haired girls and families living in space, or listening to my teachers at Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, stories have always been a source of wonder and inspiration for me.

As I grew older, I began crafting my own stories and poems, encouraged by the support of wonderful teachers who recognized my gift for storytelling. While serving as a Salvation Army officer alongside my husband Don, I decided to pursue my passion for writing and published my first book, Lyssa Lamb. The story emerged from a sermon about spiritual warfare and was inspired by my love of shepherd and lamb symbolism in the Bible.

Since then, I've written several more books, each with a spiritual and social redemptive message. The Lord is My Shepherd – Think was inspired by the prayers my mom and grandma said with my sister and me before bedtime and my visits to sheep farms in New Zealand. On Eagle's Wings is a devotional book based on a study of Isaiah, and Lamb Tales is a collection of stories featuring Lyssa and other beloved lamb characters.

In my upcoming books, Purl Lamb and Tam Lamb, I continue to explore themes of redemption and forgiveness. Purl's story follows a deaf lamb whose unique abilities are needed to help free other lambs from a cloth factory, while Tam's story deals with the recovery and restoration of the formerly enslaved lambs.

As a pastor and teacher, my books are not just entertaining stories, but also offer spiritual and social value. I hope they inspire readers to think deeply about their own lives and the world around them, and to see the potential for redemption and restoration in even the darkest of circumstances.
