Mandy Jairell

Dr. Mandy Jairell is a Wyoming native, mother, and children’s author who believes every child deserves to be seen, heard, and understood. Her passion for helping families communicate inspired her to create Izzy’s Sign Language Adventures—a heartwarming series that introduces little ones and their parents to the beauty of American Sign Language.

Through Izzy’s playful curiosity and colorful adventures, Mandy brings sign language to life in a way that’s fun, accessible, and deeply meaningful. Each story is designed to spark learning and connection—empowering children to express themselves long before they can speak, and giving parents tools to understand their child’s needs with love and confidence.

Mandy’s storytelling is shaped by her experience as a mom and her lifelong dedication to helping families grow stronger together. Her books are also a bridge for children with disabilities or communication delays, helping families and peers connect with them more deeply through understanding, patience, and shared language.

When she’s not writing, Mandy can be found exploring Wyoming’s wide-open spaces with her husband and two children, supporting local schools and community projects, or dreaming up her next story to share with young readers.

Her mission is simple and heartfelt: to help families communicate, connect, and thrive—one sign, one story, and one smile at a time.
