Avnah Long

Avnah Long is a fashion designer and costume designer that has been in the fashion industry for over 20 years. She began her career in fashion as a crochet designer and was taught the creative skill of crochet by her mother Marie Davis.

As the crochet line began to make a huge impact, Avnah knew she wanted to expand her clothing brand and taught herself how to sew. This launched the couture fashion brand AVNAH.

AVNAH has graced the runways at New York Fashion Week for seven seasons. The brand has been on display at high end luxury retailer Nieman Marcus. AVNAH has been seen on award show red carpets, Featured in Vogue and Vanity Fair, worn by celebrities and clothed in your favorite artist music video's.

She now wants to educate those wanting to start a career in fashion by giving them the basics to get started. The first book launch Sewing Basics 101. The ultimate beginners guide to sewing. This book is an introduction to sewing for beginners. It is designed to give you information quickly and easily. You will learn about the essential tools, fabrics,sewing machines, terms, and more that will get you started developing your skills. These tools will make sewing easier, neater, and more enjoyable. You will not need all of these tools to begin sewing. The more you sew however, the more likely you are to find a use for everything.

Avnah will continue to educate and inspire future designers and the youth with tools and information to help them succeed along their journey.
