Eric C. Mack

Eric Mack was born in Dothan, Alabama, on October 19,1986 and moved to the greater Seattle area at the age of seven. The Pacific Northwest would foster his imagination and provide a lifelong network of “Family”. At the age of ten he discovered the works of Edgar Allan Poe and a passion for the written word. But as he grew, the call to the kitchen became thunderous and in 2004 began a sixteen year career as a culinary professional. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and built his career amongst the neon of Las Vegas. However, health issues loomed and in 2021 he was forced to retire from the stove. This existential change forced him to redefine what was important in his life and ignited the written word from a slow simmer to a churning boil. In June 2022 he published his first novel, Despair of the Deep, and his second work, Thirteen Drops of Madness: a dark fiction collection, the following year. He is ecstatic to continue this journey of writing.
