Blaise Oberson

Blaise Oberson is a Swiss poet based in Geneva. His work explores the fragile beauty that emerges between shadow and light. Through his poems, he writes about the passages of life: childhood, love, the movement of time, the wounds of existence, and the quiet strength that persists in the heart of darkness.

He published his first text in 2021 in a poetry anthology.

This was followed by Fracas du Couchant (2022), Espace Infidèle (2023), finalist for the Renée Vivien Prize and winner of the 3rd Stephen Liégeard Poetry Prize, and Épeler le miracle (2024) with Éditions L’Harmattan, winner of the 5th Stephen Liégeard Prize 2025. In 2025, he releases Impossible Nuit, a new journey between shadow and light.

Blaise holds a Master’s degree in Literature from the University of Geneva. He worked for many years as a delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East before holding senior roles in the media and watchmaking industries. He later became CEO of The Non-Violence Project Foundation, dedicated to preventing violence through education.

He is a member of several literary and artistic committees, including PEN International, which defends freedom of expression for writers worldwide.
