Ben Sauer is a product and design leader, author and speaker.
As a UX Designer at the award-winning agency Clearleft, one of the first UX agencies in the world, Ben worked with clients such as the BBC, Penguin Random House, Tesco, and TCS to elevate their product design and user experience. His design for Evo magazine won Apple’s Newsstand App of the Year, and redesigned the groundbreaking science journal eLife.
Ben later worked at Babylon Health, first as a Director of Design, and then Director of Product for AI. He led a large team of 100 designers, clinicians, data scientists, and engineers on AI-based products worth $100m+.
He’s a seasoned writer and blogger, contributing writing to books like The Great Redesign, Meeting Design, and Voice: The Speech Revolution. He’s spoken at numerous events and companies around the world: The Economist, The NEXT Conference, VW and Audi, UX London, Penguin Random House, UX Scotland, Reakt Breakpoint, Smart Voice Summit, and many others.
Ben has trained individuals and teams worldwide in design and product, particularly in conversational design, with his methods being adopted by teams at Amazon and the BBC. During his time teaching for O’Reilly, he taught people at NASA.
