Veronica grew up in Escuminac, Quebec, Canada, a municipality on the north shore of the beautiful Restigouche River. Surrounded by the impressive beauty of the Bay of Chaleur and the poetic backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains, her creativity was organic. As early as she can remember, she has always had a talent for and found great joy in writing, drawing, painting and more recently, photography.
Children and their well being has also been near and dear to her heart. Veronica has worked in the education system for over 17 years and volunteered for numerous years prior to that in schools and coaching little league sports teams. Regardless of her role, building strong, positive relationships with children has always been important to her.
Her first published book “Dee Dee the Brave!” encompasses all of her passions. She has written and illustrated an empowering story for young readers as the main character Dee Dee discovers what bravery means for her.
Having lived in numerous provinces, including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Alberta, Veronica currently resides in Southwestern Ontario with her family.
