Maxime Azadi

I’m Maxime Azadi, a Franco-Kurdish journalist born in 1981. Since 1998, I’ve devoted my life to journalism with a strong political and activist commitment, contributing my skills to various Kurdish media — from newspapers to news agencies and television channels.

In 2023, I expanded my creative path through literature, publishing both a literary investigation and a collection of poetry. My book "Échos d’une enfance kurde", released in June 2024, marked a new phase in my exploration of memory, identity, and collective experience.

Published in April 2025, La vie au bout de la robe de ma mère is my fourth book — a novel that blends realism and the fantastical, exile and resilience, guided by the flutter of a butterfly’s wings and the hem of a mother’s dress. My writing reflects a deep commitment to telling stories that move, challenge, and endure.
