David Alan Parnell

David Alan Parnell is a historian of the ancient Romans, including the Byzantine Empire. He is Associate Professor of History at Indiana University Northwest, where he is an award-winning undergraduate teacher. He has published extensively on the military and social life of the sixth-century Roman world.
