Darrow Woods
Darrow Woods used to wear a clerical collar, and now he carries a badge. He is a recently retired United Church of Canada minister, who now serves as a police chaplain with one of North America's largest law enforcement agencies.
He is also the author of the Rev. Thomas Book Mysteries.
The first in that series, The Book of Answers, was short-listed for a Crime Writers of Canada Award of Excellence.
The second, The Book of Christmas Joy came out in time for the 2025 Christmas season.
A third adventure, The Book of Strong Suggestions is on the way.
Darrow lives in Canada's southernmost town, where he can often be found at the library sitting in silence with a group of fellow writers, all happily typing away.
He is also the author of a Substack newsletter called Reluctant Sleuth, where he writes about murder, life, death and other mysteries.
