“I truly believe that if you love collaborating, love exploring a story, and enjoy roleplaying, than you can be a great GM. Like anything, knowing some basics is a good place to start. So what are you waiting for? Let’s start!”
Guy Sclanders has been roleplaying for a very long time. He's run live streamed games for Wizards of the Coast on their official twitch channel, is a regular guest DM at D&D in a Castle, and runs the ever-popular YouTube channel How to be a Great GM. He has also been a wildlife photographer, an award-winning scriptwriter, a senior lecturer, a head of department, a voice artist, an author, and award-winning dungeon master, a dog owner, and an artist for a long time too.
His passion is creating amazing experiences with other people and roleplaying is one of the easiest and most entertaining ways of doing that – in his opinion.
He’s dedicated the last decade to understanding just how we roleplay and what makes for a good game, a great game or an outstanding game. That’s all distilled down into his practical, applicable books which he writes whilst listening to heavy classical music and pretending not to work.
