Bob Sawvelle

Dr. Bob Sawvelle and his wife Carolyn founded Passion Church in Tucson,

Arizona, where he serves as Senior and primary Teaching Pastor. He manages

curriculum development, leadership training, and church operations. Bob

earned a M Th. from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in 1999 and a D Min.

from United Theological Seminary in 2013, with his doctoral research

focused on Christian healing ministry's role in evangelism and church

growth. He is ordained with Global Awakening Ministries, led by Dr. Randy

Clark.

At the start of their ministry, Bob and Carolyn served as missionaries in

Haiti and also as youth and missions pastors in Florida. In 1994, during a

trip back to the US from Haiti, they experienced a powerful move of the

Holy Spirit at revival meetings at the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship

(now Catch the Fire Ministries). The next year, they connected with Dr.

Randy Clark at revival and healing meetings in Melbourne, Florida.

Since their encounter with God in Toronto, Bob and Carolyn have yearned to

be filled with His Spirit and to let Christ’s love and power flow through

them, impacting and healing others’ lives. Bob’s deep concern for the poor

and hurting drives him to believe that God wants His people to extend His

love and power beyond church walls to those in need. His passion is to help

Christians grow in knowledge and faith in this vital area of empowered

Kingdom ministry. He desires to bring non-believers to Christ and to reach

others with God’s love and power by training ordinary believers to walk in

Christ’s authority.

In 2001, the Lord led Bob and his family to relocate to Tucson, AZ, where

they established Passion Church. At Passion Church, their ministry

regularly experiences God’s healing grace during prayer. Additionally,

other gifts of the Spirit are often manifested alongside God's healing

power.

Bob has a natural talent for teaching and dedicates much time to

researching and writing to help Christians grow in knowledge and faith. His

latest book, "Lord, Teach Us to Pray," along with his previous work, "Our

Eyes Are on You: Principles to Prevail in Faith and Prayer," focus on

prayer and faith. He has also authored two books on healing: "A Case for

Healing Today" and "Receive Your Miracle Now." Additionally, he wrote an

inspiring book on victorious Christian living titled "Fulfill Your Dreams:

Seize the Day and Be Extraordinary."

Along with his pastoral duties and writing, Bob is a former D Min. mentor

for the Randy Clark Scholars cohort at United Theological Seminary (UTS).

He also previously served as an adjunct professor, teaching master’s level

classes in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting at Global

Awakening Theological Seminary (GATS).
