Robert M. Whaples

Robert M. Whaples is a Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute, Editor of The Independent Review, and Professor of Economics at Wake Forest University. He is the co-editor of the Independent Institute books Is Social Justice Just?, In All Fairness, Future: Economic Peril or Prosperity?, and Pope Francis and the Caring Society. He also is co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Modern Economic History, the Routledge Handbook of Major Events in Economic History, Public Choice Interpretations of American History, Historical Perspectives on the American Economy: Selected Readings and The Economic Crisis in Retrospect: Explanations by Great Economists. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
