Dr. James E. Kilgore

Dr. James Kilgore is a licensed family therapist, minister, bestselling author, and international speaker with over 55 years of experience. He was appointed by former governor George Busbee as the first chairman of the Georgia Marriage and Family Counseling Licensing Board. He and Mrs. Kilgore founded Lake Arrowhead Chapel in Cherokee County, Georgia, in 1980, where he served as pastor for 23 years.

Escaping Anxiety is his landmark 16th book, coming just in time to help scores of people whose anxiety originated with or was heightened by the pandemic and other dire 21st century events.

Dr. and Mrs. Kilgore have been married for 65 years and had three children, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Today, he consults with family therapists and continues to speak across the
