Sue Kenney

After being downsized from her corporate telecom career, Sue walked 780 kms on the Camino de Santiago to face the truth about her life purpose and what she was supposed to do in the world. Writing this memoir set her on a path to understanding her work in the world was to inspire others to be more authentic. After writing My Camino she penned 2 more books: Confessions of a Pilgrim and How to Wear Bare Feet, Sue was amazed at how people responded to her stories. Many people approached her to guide them on the Camino and soon she became a coach and has walked a total of 29 times on various paths since 2001. This time she spent walking in nature had a profound effect on the next chapter of her life. She was given a message to "bring people back to the forest" and soon discovered it was to be in their barefeet so they could connect with nature as we were meant to do. This is her 14th year living and inspiring people to create a Barefoot Practice of grounding and strengthening their feet. She went viral on TikTok as @BarefootSue with one 15 second video reaching 9.6 M views. She is a Level 2 Wim Hof Method Instructor and has been teaching this practice all over the world. As a Rewilding Coach, Barefoot Influencer, and Ice Water enthusiast, Barefoot Sue spends as much time as possible in nature and teaching others about the healing benefits. Recently she's talking more about impact of shoes on the environment and ideas about how to reduce our footprint! She also designed the first ever true barefoot grounding shoe call Barebottoms.
