I, Judy Mace, was born in Oswego, Ks. I have always been a small-town girl until recently when I made a move to Oklahoma City. I spent most of my childhood moving from house to house and town to town. After living in Springfield, Missouri, during a recession period, my parents and four siblings moved to Hugoton Ks. In 1969, as a newlywed and soon-to-be mommy, I moved across the country with my husband to the small Michigan destination town of Marshall. After suffering the unimaginable loss of my son, my only child and later my husband to ALS, I settled in. I was open to the adventure of living in Oklahoma City (Tornado Alley) . After 50+ years I was finally living close to my brothers and sisters.
I always loved writing and as a young child, made up stories in my head to make my life exciting. In grammar school, I was constantly disciplined for daydreaming, though I always tried (unsuccessfully) to explain to the teacher that instead of daydreaming, I was writing a book...in my head. I further explained to teachers throughout my schoolgirl years that I imagined short stories that I could include in an entire book. After all, I reasoned, “Isn’t a book just a lot of short stories?”
Unfortunately, my explanation was always met with a stern, “Just start paying attention.” I hope you enjoy the adventures of Heather as much as I do. I hope to continue the stories of Heather through the decade of the amazing 70's .
‘The Life and times of Heather Jones. 1970. It has taken me 71 years to finish a book and publish it. The sequel is coming out as soon as I finish it. The story is a faith-based romance fiction, a sweet feel good story, with a little excitement and love. I hope to continue the life and times of Heather Jones through out the 70’s. It is a story about a year in the life of Heather Jones, an ordinary young woman, at the start of a great decade. On January 1, 1970, President Richard Nixon signed the National Environmental Policy Act. On January 21, 1970, the first jumbo jet, the Boeing 747, made its debut commercial flight from New York to London. Then on April 13, NASA's Apollo 13 Moon Mission returned to Earth successfully after abandoning its mission to the Moon after experiencing an oxygen tank explosion. On April 22, Americans celebrated Earth Day for the first time. Then, on April 29, the United States invaded Cambodia. So, 1970 started an extraordinary decade, but Heather Jones is an ordinary blessed young lady.
