Dave Fairclough

I am a budding and enthusiastic author & illustrator, with my focus being on Children’s Illustrated stories.

Born & bred in North West England, I’m currently based in Birchwood, Warrington where I have been for 30 years.

I have a fiancé and two beautiful children; Carys & Esme. The oldest, Carys, has shown a similar enthusiasm and helped me coming up with the idea for The Toothmouse following a late Tooth Fairy visit one night.

I have worked with Illustration for the last 20 years, and tried my hand at writing for the past 5, but only decided to put the two together in the last 12 months. This created a new passion and inspiration that I had previously lacked, and gave me the desire to create.

It wasn’t until I hit the age of 37 that I published my first children’s book through Amazon Kindle Publishing; in June 2023 when I released The Toothmouse to the world.

Now I look forward to a variety of new projects and enjoying my work further!
