Maggie Rogers

I have always been a day dreamer and loved making up stories, mostly in my head, but it wasn't until I retired from the NHS, where I worked in several nursing and non clinical roles, that I started to actually write. I joined a very informal local writing group and that helped me make the transition from writing factual reports to writing fiction. I don't write everyday, but disappear to write when the mood, and time, takes me. My ideas often come when I'm out dog walking or, less conveniently, in the middle of the night. I now keep a notebook beside the bed, as the perfect storyline in the middle of the night was usually nowhere to be found in the morning!
