Rob Goldberg is an award-winning historian and author. He holds a PhD in American History from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently Head of the History Department at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia. Goldberg's first book "Radical Play: Revolutionizing Children's Toys in 1960s and 1970s America" received three best book awards: the Lawrence Levine Award for Best Book in American Cultural History from the Organization of American Historians; the Ray & Pat Browne Award for Best Single Work from the Popular Culture Association; and the Senior Prize for Outstanding Toy Research from the International Toy Research Association. Goldberg's work has been featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker, and the Los Angeles Times, and he has been interviewed by WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show and Chris Byrne's Playground Podcast. He was a guest expert on the History Channel's "Toys That Built America" and the Sky Documentary "Barbie Uncovered."
