Gloria Canada is a lifelong educator who has served in the roles of classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, adjunct professor, author, and school leadership consultant focusing on school improvement.
She received her undergraduate degree in education from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. Her graduate degree in educational leadership and her mid-management certification were attained at the University of Texas at San Antonio and she received her doctorate in school administration from Texas A & M in College Station, Texas.
Gloria was raised in a military family, moving often. However, she was able to finish her last three years of high school in her mother’s hometown of Laredo, Texas, where her grandparents had immigrated from Candela, Mexico. Her father’s family is from Tiptonville, Tennessee.
She lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and two very spoiled dogs.
