Joe West

I write urban fiction, and I love to tell inner-city tales of hell on earth with just a dash of hope that things will get easier to bear with time and a few lucky breaks that my characters will obviously use poorly and hurt everyone they love in the end.

Although I have had novels previously published as Joe Schwartz, I assumed the pen name Joe West for this novel in honor of my friend Thom West who died suddenly just before I began to write this book. Thom and I were going to be a team. I'd write the stories, and he would be the narrator for the audio versions. Such is life. At least this way, Thom and I can still continue on this journey together.
