The overriding passion of my life has been to understand the nature of reality. I studied philosophy and psychology at university, but neither of those fields offered an explanation that I found satisfying, or could relate to. They seemed sterile, and didn't address the immediacy of conscious existence, and their explanations seemed forced and narrow. I later learned that both of those subjects were, and are, deeply influenced by scientific-materialism, a philosophical stance that sees consciousness as an epiphenomenon of matter. Organized religions never appealed to me either - they simplify and distort ideas to fit their own dogma, and seem mainly concerned with furthering their own agendas. The Seth Material is the only philosophical writing that ever really resonated with me on all levels - intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. I began reading Seth when I was 14, and was lucky enough to meet with Jane Roberts at her "hill house" in Elmira NY, when I was just 17. Since then I've spent my life searching the academic and scientific literature to see if I could find validation for Seth's ideas, and, while most of science and academia are publically opposed to the idea that consciousness can exist independently of matter (this is necessary for ideological reasons), I discovered that there is a large body of scientific thought, with corresponding evidence, that supports all of Seth's main ideas. The result of that research is contained in my books Nursery of the Gods volumes one and two. If you would like to comment on them I can be reached at nurseryofthegodsbook at gmail.com.
