Antonio Rosa

Antonio Rosa is a Portuguese security professional, risk management specialist and author with more than fifteen years of experience in security operations, consultancy and training.

Between 2009 and 2021, he worked extensively across Africa, operating in environments affected by violent crime, civil unrest, xenophobia, political instability and complex logistical challenges. His experience includes risk assessment, protective security, operational planning, journey management, crisis response and the protection of people working or travelling abroad.

Antonio was a member of the original UK-based Professional Bodyguard Association, established in the mid-1980s by M. J. Tombs, an influential close-protection instructor described in security-industry sources as a former SAS operative. He also holds qualifications in security management and risk management, including training based on ISO 31000 principles.

His books combine professional methodology with lessons drawn from real situations. Rather than presenting security as a collection of dramatic stories or rigid procedures, Antonio focuses on practical decisions, human behaviour and measures that readers can apply before, during and after a crisis.

His work is intended for security professionals, managers, consultants, independent travellers and organisations responsible for personnel operating in unfamiliar or hostile environments.
