Blake Nathan is a trailblazing education reformer who is on a mission to transform the education system as we know it. As an Atlanta native, he graduated from The Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical and Industrial Technology, majoring in Aviation Flight. He went on to become a Woodrow Wilson National Teaching Fellow and obtained a master's degree in technology from Purdue University.
After working as a classroom teacher in Indianapolis, Blake recognized the need for change within the education sector. He founded the Educate ME Foundation with the aim of diversifying the teaching population and creating a culture where the presence of African American males and females, as well as teachers of color, is normalized.
Under Blake's leadership, the Educate ME Foundation has garnered national attention for its innovative approach to tackling the teacher shortage and creating a more diverse teaching workforce. Blake is also a devoted husband, father, and man of faith, and he is committed to using his platform to create a brighter future for students and educators alike. His new book, The MVPs of Education: Strategies for Combating the Teacher Shortage and Diversifying the Teacher Workforce, offers practical insights and solutions for addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing the education system today.
