Jerry Garces

Jerry Garces, a native Californian and loving husband, spent his working years as a newsboy, laborer, dishwasher, fry cook, machinist, educator, real estate agent, firefighter, and legal professional. He enjoys fishing, photography, and collecting memorabilia. He is an Army veteran.

He has A.A. Degrees in Telecommunications and Fire Science, as well as a Juris Doctor. His book, Night Light and Other Stories, is written from memories and from the heart. His talent comes from the ability to see "Story" as part of daily life and characters arriving in the guise of everyday people. An adventurous spirit led him to a skydiving school at the age of 17. Though he was underage, one parachute jump from 2800 feet was allowed based on a permission slip written by his mother to the instructor.

More than once he has had an Angel sitting on his shoulder.
