K A Brown

K.A. Brown is a Connecticut native and retired fire lieutenant who served 26 years as a career firefighter. His time on the front lines gave him firsthand insight into how ordinary people respond when tragedy strikes and every decision carries consequences. He draws on that experience to create realistic characters, authentic emotion, and high-stakes suspense.

Brown is the author of the Derrick Driver thriller series, beginning with Programmed to Win and The Cost of Killing. His novels blend political intrigue, emerging technology, corruption, and deeply personal stakes around a reluctant hero confronting threats no one saw coming.

For readers who enjoy fast-paced thrillers grounded in authentic human behavior: A reluctant hero. Unimaginable threats.
