Gil Frank writes in English, French, and Hebrew and has lived on three continents. Raised in France, formed by decades in Israel, and now based in Atlanta, he brings a multilingual and multicultural perspective to every book he writes.

Inspired by his French contemporary novelists and James Baldwin, Toni Morrison, and William Faulkner, Gil blends memoir and storytelling in a style readers describe as intimate, poetic, and fiercely honest.

He is the author of Yocheved, The Friend of My Mind, The Book of Unearthing, and The Friend of My Mind: A Love Story. He also translated Yocheved into French.
