Facundo Mauricio

Born in Buenos Aires in 1988, Facundo Mauricio has followed a path marked by a deep passion for technology and cybersecurity. From his childhood, he showed an interest in disassembling and understanding the workings of electronic devices, which naturally led him to study computing and business administration. His academic journey continued with a Master's in Information Security, after which he started a Ph.D. at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. His research focused on the use of post-quantum cryptography in cybersecurity for operational technology (OT) environments, though he decided to pause this Ph.D. to concentrate on publishing his first book, CyberCEO.

In CyberCEO, Facundo shares a strategic perspective on cybersecurity, highlighting the importance of integrating it within business planning beyond the technical realm. This approach reflects his conviction that cybersecurity is fundamental for innovation and protection in the digital world.

Furthermore, Facundo is the author of Secretos en Papel, a book that addresses a practical solution to improve the security of those who tend to write their passwords on paper. This work offers a safe and organized alternative, proposing a logbook designed to record passwords in a way that strengthens personal security without sacrificing convenience.

Currently, Facundo plays a crucial role at Siemens, where he coordinates innovation efforts within the cybersecurity strategy department. His work involves merging the latest advances in technology with cybersecurity strategies, ensuring that innovation serves as a pillar for the protection of critical infrastructures.

Throughout his career, Facundo has lived and worked in various countries, providing him with valuable international experience in managing teams on technologically advanced projects.
