Doug Hufford is a fantasy novelist born in Thousand Oaks, California, and raised in Chico. Inspired by video games and animation, he especially enjoys series like Final Fantasy and Dark Souls, along with fighting and strategy games.

Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of Northern California, Doug found peace in wandering through parks and hiking on blustery days. His love of storytelling began with the early 3D era Zelda games and grew as he discovered the darker, more emotionally complex stories found in JRPGs.

For Doug, writing is both a way of communicating with the world and a means of reflecting on life’s deeper, more mysterious qualities.
