Dr. C. Frederick Haigh

Dr. Charles Frederick Haigh was born in Massachusetts, and lived in Nashville, Tennessee and Iowa before earning a college scholarship in music. During his career he taught music at the secondary and university levels, conducted numerous award winning ensembles in state, national, and international settings, and performed professionally on French Horn. His educational background includes a bachelor's, master's, and dual-focused doctoral degree, as well as certifications in administration and financial planning.

Two events have shaped his adult years, with both making a significant imprint on his philosophy and life. The first occurred on June 18, 1999 when his heart failed and his blood pressure dropped to 40 over 0. His life was saved that night at Fort Wayne's Parkview Hospital. The second occurred on February 28, 2008, when he received a heart transplant at Cleveland Clinic.

Much of this romantic trilogy is based on Dr. Haigh's personal experiences, his appreciation for life's miracles, and his quest for unwavering faith. And much of the credit for its success must be shared with his wife Janet, his children, and his grandchildren.
