TALES FROM HIPPIE COVE is based on my own experience of a summer spent working in a salmon cannery in Cordova, Alaska. Part comedy, part drama, all love letter to Alaska; as my first novel, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
9 1/2 STORIES is a collection of short stories I wrote over a 20 year period. The nine stories, (one being a novella worth 1.5), cover a wide range of styles and tones. The novella, featuring an 80's era cult called "The Golden Table", is a prequel to my next novel, a noir mystery set in Los Angeles.
THE CLIFFS OF PALOS VERDES is my foray into neo-noir. Dark and suspenseful, shot through with gallows humor, it transplants noir Los Angeles into the present day like a fresh shot of whisky in a well-worn glass.
I currently reside in Los Angeles with my wife and teenage son and when I’m not writing can often be found hiking and biking in the Santa Monica mountains.
