Arun Jee is a writer, translator and educator from India. He has translated several Ukrainian, Burmese, Iranian poems and stories from English to Hindi. Some of these have appeared in well-known Hindi literary magazines like Kathadesh, Naya Gyanoday, Magadh and Prabhat Khabar. He wrote a book on English Grammar titled 'Basic English Grammar' which was published by Prabhat Prakashan in April 2023. His translation of Deaf Republic, a poetry collection by the esteemed Ukrainian-American poet, Ilya Kaminski from English to Hindi was published by Pustaknaama in August 2023.
He has an experience of teaching subjects like English, History and Political Science in several public schools for more than 35 years. Arun Jee did his PhD on an American novelist named Mary McCarthy in 1993. Recognising his contribution to education he was awarded twice by the British Council, one in 2017 and then in 2020.
