I will always love writing. As a ten-year-old growing up in Brooklyn, NY, I wrote horror and crime stories, and all the characters were my actual friends. Each story was handwritten, as my typewriting skills could have been better. Back in the '60s, there was no Internet or Microsoft Word to rely on. (LOL).
The urge to write stayed with me as an adult. I took courses in fiction and business writing. The skills obtained not only improved my storytelling but aided me in writing professional letters during a thirty-three-year career as a medical billing manager and certified medical coder.
I love tales of the supernatural, the occult, the weird, witchcraft, and psychological terror, and I could blame TV shows like The Twilight Zone, Shock Theatre, or Chiller Theatre for the desire to write stories with frightening twists and turns. For myself, I enjoy being scared--as long as I'm safe at home.
I am always searching for new ideas, and future stories will include tales from dark folklore.
I am now happily retired, a lifelong New Yorker, and live with my husband, Rob, and our rescue Shih Tzu-Poodle-Pekingese mix, Buster.
Here's hoping you will enjoy what has been written and the new stories to follow.
