Hi there! Ever since I was a little kid, I have had a crazy imagination. I think growing up as an only child, I was challenged to play with toys much of the time by myself and this pushed my imagination into overdrive. I also grew a small obsession with movies and film, often taking my parents old movies and watching them over and over again. Little did I know, this watching actually turned into a passive kind of studying as I grew increasingly familiar with story structure and the hero's journey used in almost every plot.

Then, when I turned 17, I found my newest obsession — reading! And soon after — writing! In college, I pursued a degree in English, Film, and Communications and later received my Masters in Liberal Arts and my Masters in Teaching in Literature.

I wrote my first book when I was 21 years-old, right after the passing of my mother called, 'The Real Fake World.' This book was a way for me to cope with my mother's passing. Writing down her story and my own in dealing with her illness (she had cancer for 6 years), was my way of preserving my memories of her and helping me to make sense of everything that had happened, ultimately allowing me to move forward in a positive way with my life.

I then wrote a book on swimming, which I have used ever since as my own training guide called, 'A Lazy Man's Guide to Fast Swimming.' While the book title may appear a bit childish, it is a serious exploration into the question of what a fast swimmer looks like and why and then how to transform your own body into that of an elite swimmers.

Now, though, my passions have switched to children's stories. My imagination, education background, and high-level skills in graphic design and marketing, have brought me to a place where I just love to write kids stories. The freedom they offer and sheer fun in writing them has me hooked. Not to mention, the impact a great story has on kids is so incredibly rewarding and pure of heart, it keeps me writing more.

I hope one of my books passes by your path one day as we are all in this journey together and connecting with one another is really what it's all about.
