Rajesh Pandey

Rajesh Pandey, a retired IPS officer. A native of Allahabad (Prayagraj), he joined the police service after completing his Master’s in Botany from Allahabad University.

A founding member of the Uttar Pradesh STF (1998) and later associated with the UP ATS (2009), Pandey has played a key role in investigating major terrorist attacks and organised-crime cases. He has been involved in 70 police encounters and pioneered electronic surveillance systems in the Uttar Pradesh Police.

He is a four-time recipient of the Indian Police Medal for Gallantry and was awarded the United Nations Medal for his service with the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo.

Pandey has authored four books: Operation Bazooka, Badge and the Bullet, Varchasv and Antheen.
