Hopeless romantic with a warrior's heart and a wild imagination. These ten words describe me and the essence of my novels. I started writing this series after being challenged by two nieces who are school teachers to write a novel based on a series of poems I wrote on the central character decades ago. My history includes 16 years of briefing, part-time, US Army Green Berets, USAF Special Ops Forces, and US Navy SEALs before they were deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. All while also practicing as a criminal defense lawyer for 40 years now (these are not books about lawyers!). I golf, sometimes well, and love baseball. My wife, Anika, edits my books and keeps me on the right path. I've written five novels in the Tul'ran series and I've started the sixth. The titles are, The Ballad of Tul'ran of Sword; A Time, and Times, and Half a Time; Abandon Hope; Wolf's Den; and, When the Stars Fall. I'm a Christ follower, which influences my writing style. Be warned, my novels are like a quiet pool under a full moon. Once you fall into them, it's hard to get out.
