Sara Terry

Sara Terry is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified School Counselor. Sara has a passion for helping children understand complex concepts. She began her book-writing journey when one of her daughters, Giavanna, was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis and began chemotherapy at the young age of 1. This journey was difficult to explain to her other daughter, Liana, who was 3 years old at the time. So, Sara thought about age -appropriate ways to explain the situation, and decided to share it with the world through her first book, Gigi’s Bouncy Ball. Sara continues to write children’s books in a social story format to help children process and understand complex concepts.
